This past weekend we celebrated our little mans baby dedication. Some people might be asking, what is a baby dedication? (we got that question a lot). A baby dedication is a commitment before God to raise your child with a Godly influence and bring them up in a household where He is the main foundation. Dedicating a child acknowledges God's sovereignty not only over a child, but also as parents.
We were so happy to have so many of our family members and friends there to celebrate this special time with us. Our little man has brought us more love, joy, and happiness than we could have ever imagined. He is the first grandchild on both sides of the family and the first nephew to five uncles and one aunt.
After the service, the celebration continued. We all got together for an afternoon brunch. We went with a simple more classic decor for the theme. The centerpieces were framed pictures, compliments of my sisters creative photography. We made little note cards with a poem and spaces for each guest to leave a prayer, blessing, and scripture verse. The cookies were made by Rolyn in the Dough and also served as the favors. All around the day was a success and a great time to celebrate our commitment and the joys our little man has blessed us with.
