Happy Friday, friends! I hope everyone had a great week. This one felt like it was all over the place for us, and mainly because of the weather. You might as well call me weather girl Sierra because I'll be talking about it a lot here. On second thought, let's not call me that. That sounds kind of weird, and who knows why that popped into my head. The weather this week has been nuts. I mean completely nuts. One day we were
playing in the snow, the next it felt like spring, then we we're almost in the 80's, and then woke up to it to being back in the 30's with pouring down rain. I seriously think we experienced all of the seasons within the past few days.
Here's a look at some of my favorites from the week...
1. Snow: my philosophy with snow is, if it's going to be around we might as well have fun with it. I had no clue we were supposed to get this much, but we did. We woke up to everything covered in white and of course went out there to have some fun in it. It was a bright sunny day and the boys asked if they could wear their sunglasses. The fact that my boys love to wear sunglasses just as much as I do makes me one happy mama.
2. Family hike: one of our neighbors told us about this abandoned Warner Brothers safari theme park that has a bunch of trails you can walk through and explore. Since the weather felt like fall this day, we deiced to take a drive to go check it out. We packed up the boys, the dog, and all the snacks (because snacks are very important around here) and headed out for the afternoon. I wasn't sure what to expect, but aside from a few abandoned huts and cages, it looked more like a walk through the woods. It was actually really pretty and we all had fun exploring.
3. That spring fever: before we hit temps in the 70's we had a beautiful day where it felt like spring. We all wore light jackets, got to enjoy some time outside, made dinner on the grill, and the boys had so much fun playing. It gave me all the feels for wanting spring. We stayed out until after dark and the boys even thought some lightning bugs were going to come out. I had to break it to them that we still have a ways to go before those nights are back.
4. Posts from the week: a lot of you responded last week when I shared that I went to NYFW again and was working on putting a post together about it. In case you missed it, I shared my perspective about attending. I always appreciate posts about fashion week but a lot of them are from bloggers who are legit "fashion bloggers" and I feel like the experience is just different when you're looking at it from another viewpoint. There's also a funny story in there about my experience with the paparazzi if you're looking for a good laugh.
I also shared 6 simple ways I like to relax, because couldn't we all use a little more down time. This post is getting some action on Pinterest and as always, I appreciate all of you who take the time to share and read my posts.

I can honestly say I have only bought myself three things since before Christmas. I challenged myself to shop my own closet for the winter and there really wasn't anything that I truly needed.
With the tease in weather this week, it got me really excited for spring and being able to wear some lighter clothes. Cute tops have always been something I feel like I lack in my wardrobe. I have a few here and there, but I want to find things that I can wear in the office but also wear on the weekends or a night out. I got an email from Nordstrom (or more like 10) about new merchandise and also about their winter sale going on. I decided to hit shop, and well, the rest is history. I did come across some cute things that I'm anxiously awaiting to arrive.
I really like this ruffle top and think I can pull it off with dress pants or jeans. These mules were too good to pass up and how cute is this balloon sleeve top? I decided to get it in blush. What I loved even more about all of this, was that everything was on sale. I also got an email from H&M with a 40% off code and free shipping, so who am I to turn that down? I already have this top in black but now it's restocked in both blue and blush. I decided to go with the blue since I went with blush on the other top.
This is really random, but I think I lost my black flats. I haven't been able to find them anywhere and it's been months. Seriously though, who loses shoes? Well, actually I do have a friend that seemed to lose a shoe every time we went out, but that's a different story. Anyway, I came across these cute ruffle flats currently on sale at Target for only $16. I got them as quickly as I could hit confirm order.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Here's where you can find me linking for all of the link up fun.
