Happy Friday, friends! I hope everyone had a good week. It was some kind of week over here with the weather. I think spring missed the memo this year for most of us because it felt like the farthest thing from it. We've had our 4th nor'easter in the last few weeks. What can you do? If there's one thing we can't control, it's the weather.
Here's a look at some of my favorites from the week...
1. Easter eggs: the tricky part with Easter being so early this year, is that it doesn't really feel like the Easter season. If that makes any sense. I guess because I relate it to nicer weather, the flowers blooming, birds chirping, you know, spring. Aside from it still being snow covered, the boys had some fun decorating eggs and doing a few little Easter projects. I've been doing eggs this way ever since A was born. I can't stand the smell of vinegar and all the mess of dropping eggs into that colored water. We keep it simple and let the boys go to town with some paint markers. I know, I know, it's not the most creative thing out there, but it works.
2. St. Patrick's Day: we weren't sure if we were going to take the boys out on St. Patrick's day because of all the craziness that's associated with the day. A restaurant near us was more family friendly so we decided to go. I was glad we ended up going out because the food was really good and the atmosphere was fun.
3. Snow: I wouldn't say this was really a favorite of mine, but it happened, so let's embrace it. And, the boys had one heck of a time out there playing in it. They got the grand idea to go and dig for burred treasure. I felt bad that they didn't find any, but they did hit some nice ice blocks that they had fun digging up. And Coaty found a nice big stick. It's all about the sticks with my boys.
4. Living room refresh: I am overwhelmed and so appreciative of all the comments and love my easy ways to refresh your living room post got. I always enjoy getting style tips and ideas from others so I was happy to share mine with you all. I really love how everything came together for this room and has me even more excited to share my master closet soon. If you caught my instastories this week, you might have seen that we are doing a little demo and adding in some much needed shelving. I'm kind of in love with the decor and how it's transforming. Next I'll be tackling getting everything organized, so stay tuned.
5. Spring cleaning: it's officially spring now and this time of year always has me thinking of changing something or taking on a new mindset. This year I'm getting the boys more involved with things and shared how I'm having them spring clean more than just their toys. We're still working on staying consistent with that because we still get the excuses that their legs don't work or picking up their toys makes them dizzy. Yup, dizzy.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Here's where you can find me linking for all the link up fun.
