Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! As always I hope it's been a great week for everyone. We certainly had fall temperatures around here all week but are still waiting for a lot of our leaves to change. We're headed out for our last Airstream adventure of the season until we'll break the Road Toad back out in the spring.

Here's a look at some of my favorites from the week...

1. Maternity pictures:

My sister took some maternity pictures for us and I'm so happy with how they came out! The boys were really good, for the most part, and we got some cute family shots too. I'm hoping to share more next week and put together some tips for taking pictures with siblings. I really appreciate all of you that took the time to help me decide on what dress to wear. I'm really happy the eggplant color worked out.

Speaking of pregnancy, I'm 35 weeks today and we had a Dr's appointment this week. Baby boy is breech and has limited time to do some flipping in there. I had two regular births with A and little nugget so of course the thought of not going the route has me a little worried. I'm all for however he gets here as long as him and I are safe, but if there is a chance to have a regular delivery that's my first choice. I turned to my insta stories to ask for some suggestions or if you've ever been in this situation before? I'd love to hear your feedback here or you can head to my stories to weigh in on the conversations over there.

2. I'm sorry, come again?

In case you missed it, I shared some funny things my boys have said during my pregnancy. Probably not my finest blogging moments because I really put it all out there, but these were too good not to document and with pregnancy brain (it's been real) I wanted to make sure I didn't forget. Have your kids ever said anything funny while you were pregnant?

3. Sweet blogging friends:

Continuing with the baby talk, sorry if it's not your thing, but I am just blown away by how amazing this blogging community is and the support that we have for each other. It really means so much to me and I am so thankful for each and every one of you that take the time to visit this little space. Sometimes blogging goes even farther than that and you have people that truly feel like they become friends. I was so excited to see this beautiful blanket arrive in the mail from Missy, that she made by the way, and these adorable onsies for baby boy. How cute is all of this?!

If you aren't familiar with Melissa (Missy) she blogs over at Loving Life Moore and has such an adorable family. She's also pregnant with her third and has two handsome little guys. Her husband is in the military and I seriously cannot give her enough credit for the supermom that she is and all that she deals with. She happened to reach out to  me the day after we found out baby boy has a cleft lip and palate and it was a time when I was really scared, unsure of things, and really just not myself. She had absolutely no idea what was going on because it took me a little while to bring myself to talk about it and put it out there. When she told me she wanted to make something special for him, it felt like God's little way of reminding me to breathe, that everything will be ok, and that baby boy will be so loved. Her generosity and kind heart will mean more to me than she will ever know. Thank you, friend!

4. Fall crafts for kids:

We had our monthly girl chat link up yesterday and this time we shared some fall crafts or DIY projects. I enjoy doing both but haven't tackled a lot lately which is something I hope to change in the future. I shared some easy crafts to do with your little ones and would love for you to also check out the other great ideas that were shared. You're always welcome to join us the third Thursday of every month for our link up. Next month's topic will be tips for juggling the holiday the season.

5. Reclaim the night:

For any local friends around here I wanted to share that our church will be hosting a concert, along with a local radio station, next Thursday 10/30. I love the concept for this. Instead of mischief on the streets there will be a free concert with Josh Baldwin and Betheny Wohrle from Bethel Music. Entry is free and they are asking for donations for missions and local shelters of products that people would normally use on mischief night, toilet paper, soap, etc. It should be a great night and I wanted to pass the link along in case anyone was interested in going.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Here's where you can find me linking for all of the link up fun.
