Little Explorers In Freshly Picked Moccasins + Giveaway

It's no surprise around here that my little family is always on some sort of adventure. In fact, on days when we are just sitting at home the boys get antsy and ask when we're going on an adventure. We've had to get creative with keeping them occupied and just maybe we've turned this "adventure" term into more than we thought. Now, they seem to have a hard time just sitting still and being at home, or maybe that's just kids in general?!

The other day the weather was really off and on and would rain one minute and then the sun would be shining bright the next. Of course as soon as the sun came out they immediately asked to go outside. I love how they enjoy being outside and hope they always have that passion. We put together a little hunt for them where they needed to find leaves, sticks, rocks, etc. Well wouldn't you know, they thought the best thing to hold all of their treasures would be in my mixing bowls. Oh the life of a boy mom.

Recently, little nugget hurt his big toe pretty badly, and without giving all the gross details, we had doctor's orders to not put him in constricting shoes or flip flops that went between his toes. Great, tell an almost two year old he can't wear his sneakers to be outside to play is setting myself up for instant mom failure.

Our Freshly Picked Moccasins came just in time and were the perfect compromise for him to wear and still be able to play. Not only are they adorable but easy for him to walk in and still allowed him to run and have fun. I also have a confession to make, I used to think that moccasins were really cute but only made for babies. That is until we received our first pair. I immediately realized my stereotype of them couldn't have been so far from the truth. I also love that they have hard sole moccasins for A which has turned into his favorite pair right now and he is always asking to wear them. He says they make him go super fast!

We've teamed up with Freshly Picked to giveaway a pair of any choice to one lucky winner. To enter the giveaway all you have to do is head on over to my instagram @beautifully_candid for the simple instructions of how to enter and a chance to win!

Thank you Freshly Picked for sponsoring this post. As always all opinions remain my own.

You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile-At Home Teeth Whitening + Giveaway

It's hard to believe that mine and Eric's seven year anniversary is on Monday. How in the world did that happen?! The years just seem to keep flying by over here.

I know this is going to sound extremely corny, but he still keeps me smiling after all these years. When the opportunity with Smile Brilliant came about to whiten our teeth (c/o), it got us thinking, we haven't whitened our teeth since we got married.

Back then we went to the local drug store, picked up a box of strips, and tried to get them to stick on our teeth. They did what they needed to for the time being but I would have loved an option like Smile Brilliant.

Here are some facts and more information that make this professional teeth whitening at home different from using regular white strips:
Seamless results on the entire tooth surface.
Professional strength gel which achieves quicker and more dramatic results.
Ability to remove deeper and more stubborn tooth stains.

The whole Smile Brilliant process was very interesting to us and how everything comes together from start to finish. When your kit arrives, you will find several different packets of whitening gel and desensitizing gel, along with molds for you to leave your teeth impressions. Once they harden, in a matter of minutes, you send them back for your custom trays to be made.

The great thing about this is your trays are made specifically for you so that your whitening experience is unique to your teeth. In a few weeks your trays will arrive and then your whitening process can begin.

The only thing that was tough for us with this experience is the time it took for the whitening. It's recommended that you leave the trays on for at least 45 mins to an hour , or longer if you can. This wasn't a huge inconvenience because we would do it pretty much before bed while watching tv, but it also wasn't the quickest process either. We did experience some minor gum irritation but it was nothing that lasted very long and using the desensitizing gel really helped with that.

Eric and I even had a little competition going on with who's teeth would get whiter. I think I totally won :)

Smile Brilliant has been so generous to offer all of you a 10% discount code (enter beautifullycandid) for your very own kit. There's also a chance for you to win your own by entering the giveaway <<---

You must submit your name and email address on the giveaway page in order to enter! The winner will be selected and contacted via email 2 weeks after the post is live. Giveaway is for $139 credit and is open to USA, UK, Canada, and Australia.

Spring Is In Bloom With JORD Wood Watches + Giveaway

Jord Women's Wood Watch
I think it's safe to say I'm officially over winter. Spring, I'm here waiting for you and looking forward to all the fun you'll bring. I'll take all the spring flowers, longer days, and spring fashion. Luckily for me, I'm keeping track of time and counting down the next 13 days (oh yes, I'm counting) until spring with my new JORD wood watch.

I've always been fascinated with wood watches and thinking about the construction and what goes into crafting these fabulous pieces. When my watch first arrived I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I know what I was hoping for. I guess I always thought of wood watches as being more on the casual side, but I have to say, it really does go with so many outfits and has become such a great statement piece for me.

Wood Watch
Cool Woman's Wood Watch
My watch arrived in a square wooden watch box which has been my go to for storing it. The magnetic lid to the box makes it easy for me to know my watch is being stored properly. I also found it so cool that there is this little slide out drawer that also includes a 2-way humidity pack that ensures optimal conditions for the storage of my watch.

Women's Watch
The watch I chose is from the Frankie series in Koa & Ash. Even though I have a very small wrist, I knew I wanted something with a large face and really wanted this to be a statement fashion accessory. It definitely lives up to that and far exceeds it. I love the ash colored face and the natural koa wood which is just beautiful. JORD has so many styles to choose from for both men and women that narrowing down just one might not be as easy as you would think (in a good way of course).

Women's Watch
This watch is so nice and lightweight which is one thing I really wasn't expecting. I've gotten so many compliments on it and I think I've been picking up on some not so subtle hints from my husband for what he wants as his next gift. I guess Father's Day will be here before I know it ;) Oh, and did I mention they also have an option for custom engraving?! As if giving one of these as a gift couldn't be more perfect.

JORD has been so gracious to offer my readers the chance to win a $100 credit towards one of their amazing watches. As an added bonus anyone who enters will receive a $25 credit just for entering (how awesome is that?!). The giveaway will close 03/19/2017 at 11:59pm. Both the $100 and the $25 codes will expire on 05/31/2017.

Now, don't waste anymore time (see what I did there ;) and be sure to enter! Good luck to all!

Friday Favorites + Giveaway

Happy Friday, friends! I hope everyone had a great week. I can't believe we're already at the last Friday of January. This was a week that went by really fast for me but slow at the same time. I don't think I will ever understand how that actually happens.

I'm really looking forward to having some fun this weekend, but then again it's the weekend, so that alone is fun. We'll be taking the nuggets to Monster Jam and I'll be spending some more time with my sister and cousin. Word on the street is brunch will be involved, and we all know brunch is the best meal of the weekend.

Here's a look at some of my favorites from the week. Oh, and don't forget to enter the giveaway at the end–it's a fun one that I'm really excited about.

1. Sister time: any time involving my sister will always be my favorite. If you followed me from the beginning of my blogging days you might remember we used to blog together. Anyone who can successfully run a two person blog–kudos to you. Since we live at opposite ends of the state it made coordinating posts almost impossible (blogging amateurs, what were we thinking). But seriously, any time we get together is always my favorite time and this doll right here is a true gem.

2. Pizza, pizza, pizza: I love finding food places that become staple spots for us. You know, kind of like an our spot type of thing. Well anyway, Frank Anthony's is one of those places and so far is my all time favorite for pizza. There's just something about those rectangular pans that come out to your table with the pizza all hot and cheesy that makes picking up one of these slices mouth watering.

3. Sunshine on a cloudy day: yesterday was the first day we saw the sun in what felt like over a week. I know the winter can be an odd season in general (here I go talking about the weather again) and thankfully it hasn't really been freezing cold, but a little sun would be nice. A quick fix to brightening up my space is always adding some flowers. I'm also enjoying this basket I picked up from HomeGoods. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it because it's a little larger than I would have liked. But, I do love the color and my oranges kind of look great in it so I think it's a keeper.

Starting The New Year Happy {Giveaway}

Happy New Year, friends! I hope everyone had a great time celebrating and is ready to see what 2017 has in store for all of us.

I've never really been big on resolutions or putting pressure on myself to complete them. Instead, I like to reflect on the previous year, figure out what I enjoyed most, things I would like to change or do better—and strive for that in the year ahead. Ok, maybe it's the same difference, but for some reason the word resolution just never really vibed with me.

This year I'm focusing on happiness. Life is too short to be upset about the small things (or large things for that matter). When I look back at life's highlights I want to feel genuinely happy. I want to know that my family and the people I care about the most were happy.

That's why this custom cell phone case from CaseApp is perfect for me to carry into the new year.

I had a generic gold case for the longest time that was starting to peel and had pretty much seen its day. When I looked through all the different cases CaseApp offers for iphone and android phones along with the option for you to customize your own, I was hooked!

I thought about uploading my own image (you can do that too) but I loved this shimmer case and decided to go with something different than I originally thought I wanted. Once I selected the case I used the clipart feature and found the perfect saying, be happy.

I think we can all agree that our phones are one of our best accessories, so why not have fun with different cases? I've already gotten so many compliments on this one and can't wait to break out my amazing flamingo case in the spring. I envision many days sitting on the beach with this one. Ahhh, the beach.
